This new season of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord did a pleasant job of balancing old content and new. Rather than change the group dynamic by adding in the new priestess Lumachina and having Diablo now struggle between three waifu instead of twohes truly a lucky demon lordOmega relies on prioritizing Rem and Sheras relationship to our main man. Both leading ladies have fallen further in love with Diablo and continue to make him swoonand us lose more blood from our noseswith oppai body-rubbing sessions and various moments of ecchi that was seen in the first season. These old tricks would have eventually made us dislike Omega, but the addition of a few new characters helped the harem elements grow without feeling forced. Yes, its a lot of the same old ecchi/harem we saw in How Not to Summon a Demon Lord season 1 but Omega knows what the audience wants and does an adequate job of delivering.

In the season 2 finale, Diablo and Lumachina work together to defeat Vishos and Europa. Afterward, Lumachina decides to usher in radical changes in the church and rebuild peoples trust in the institution. Horn and Babylon begin living with Alicia in Sevenwall so that Horn can enroll at a school and learn magic. The heroes return to Faltra City. When it is revealed that Sheras ring from Diablos dungeon is a marriage ring, Rem becomes envious. The group then decides to go on a quest together to find a ring for Rem.

The official title for Season 2 was How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord: Omega . So, its very likely that Isekai Maou Season 3 will have a similar subtitle.
The main staff and studio for the third season hasnt been confirmed yet.
The first season was produced by Studio Ajia-Do while the second season, Omega, was animated by Japanese animation studio Tezuka Productions. The studio is best known for producing the first season of The Quintessential Quintuplets anime in addition to Dagashi Kashi and collaborating with Studio MAPPA on the 2019 Dororo anime.
For making the second season, Tezuka Productions also collaborated with Studio Okuruto Noboru, which released the Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter anime TV series in 2021.

Isekai wa Smartphone follows the same setting of KonoSuba where a god intervenes to reincarnate someone in a game-like world, but lucky for Touya, hes made to be incredibly good at literally everything. Just as how the most high-level characters in Diablos world cant do much to damage him, Touya easily wipes the floor with his opponents. Both characters owe much of their success to their crazy powerful objects. For Diablo, his ring reflects any and all magic used on him back on the caster and Touyas smartphone allows him to see enemies weaknesses, gather supplies, and do just about anything else. Both guys want to protect the girls around them but also arent turning down chances to peep at them, sometimes even taking matters into their own hands!

As the recent trend among most of the anime is, Reality vs. Virtual reality, this series also has a plotline, dabbling between virtual reality and reality.
The story revolves around a highly introverted gamer Takuma Sakamoto, who has gained the demon king Diablos status in the multiplayer online role-playing game called Cross Reverie, where he possesses the most deadly weapons and is at the apex of the player tally. Because of his introverted nature, he has very few friends and spends most of his virtual gaming time.
But one beautiful day, a summoning spell transports him to the virtual game. He wakes up with his soul entrapped in the body of his gaming character Demon King Diablo. Afterward, he figured out that he was summoned by two girls, Rem, and an elf Shera, who then tried to use a spell so that they could subjugate him.
But their plan failed because Takuma had a magical ring which boomeranged the spell it ended up giving both the girls a magical collar around their necks, making them the slaves of Diablo.
This leaves Diablo/Takuma extremely nervous, as he has now to put on the strong character of Demon King and hide his original socially awkward personality.

Also, Naota Fukuda decided to make a manga adaptation, and eventually, an anime adaptation was made by Aija-do Animation Works.
How Not To Summon A Demon Lord Manga/light Novel Compared To The Anime
The story for the anime is based on the Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu light novel series by author Yukiya Murasaki and illustrator Takahiro Tsurusaki.
Published by Kodansha in late 2014, the light novel series was up to Volume 13 as of June 2, 2020. Kodansha has confirmed that the How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord Volume 14 release date is scheduled for June 2, 2021.
Before 2019, the author averaged two to three books per year. Lately, the author has slowed down and released only one new book per year.
Starting in 2015, mangaka Naoto Fukuda began serializing the Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu manga series. As of March 9, 2021, the manga was up to Volume 13, which includes up through Chapter 64.
The English translation of the How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord novel series is being published by J-Novel Club while Seven Seas Entertainment is handling the English manga translation.
The English books caught up with Volume 13 as of December 1, 2020. The English manga only started being sold in June 2018, and Volume 11 came out on May 18, 2021 .
One notable fact about the English translation is that the English title changed the meaning entirely rather than being a translation. Directly translated from Japanese, the title is literally The Otherworldly Demon King and the Summoner Girls Slave Magic.
English-speaking light novel readers can jump straight to Volume 7 if they wish to read ahead of the anime.

There are numerous characters in the show, but the show revolves around only trio Takuma, Rem, and Shera.
- Takuma Sakamoto is a socially awkward personality, who unknowingly entered the game and is now trapped in character, who is opposite his personality. How he overcomes his social anxiety, act brave is what makes this show special.
- Rem Galleu is one of the two girls, who brought Takuma in this game. She is a parthenian adventure, who over time, develops feelings for Takuma. And also, Rems body is the vessel of Demon Lord Krebskulm.
- Shera L.Greenwood is the second girl, who brought Takuma in the game. Although she looks clumsy, she is pretty smart in learning new magic tricks very quickly.

In the era of legends, God smashed the Demon King and sealed him up until a time when a Hero appears that could defeat the Demon King. As such God left behind a method of undoing the seal.
Diablo learns of a ritual passed down by the Dark Elves that may be able to remove the remnants of the Demon Lords soul still slumbering within Rems body. Diablo decides to travel to Blackwood, the country of the Dark Elves, but these elves are hostile to other races due to a great injustice committed against them in the past.
Around one hundred years ago, the Kingdom of Lyferia sent its Holy Army to attack Blackwood. The light elf king of Greenwood reluctantly allowed the Holy Arm to attack Blackwood and many dark elves were killed.
The beautiful forest was burned to the ground and all that remains is full of poisonous plants. The country has been reduced down to a hidden village that holds only female elves and babies since the men have to leave the village to find work.
Needless to say, the fact that the Greenwood elves allowed the Blackwood elves to be decimated created a schism. So, Diablo is expecting hostility based on their old grudge.
How Not To Summon A Demon Lord Omega Trailer
The two singles that DJ KOO and MOTSU are producing together alongside singer Yu Serizawa will release their full versions on May 19th officially, but we will be able to see them this season as the opening and ending songs for How Not to Summon a Demon Lord Omega. The opening song is called EVERYBODY! EVERYBODY! and the ending is YOU YOU YOU. Yu Serizawa actually did the ending song for the first season of the anime, so she is going to be making a comeback.
Was There A Point To Any Of This
Our biggest gripe of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord isnt the lackluster adventure, the repeated comedy/ecchi or even the fact that Diablo still has no enemy as strong as him. No, what we think Omega fails at most is being relevant as a second season. Ultimately, when Omega ends we are left wonderingwhat was the point of any of this? Did Diablo become stronger? Did Diablo find a way home? Did this second season establish a new greater threat waiting in the distance? All of those questions share “no” for an answer and that makes season 2 of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord just feel pointless. This season could have been an OVA and thatto us at leastwould have made more sense.

- At the time of writing, How Not to Summon a Demon Lord has not been officially renewed for season 3 by either the production company or distribution network.
Whilst there may not be a public announcement concerning the future of HNSDL, it is highly likely that the anime series will return for another season.
